With Stadltraum Falkenberg, Derenko has expanded the traditional Schlossgaststätte in Bavaria with a contemporary hotel concept. Built on the site of a former barn, fourteen new rooms were created in a deliberate dialogue with the listed, traditional Bavarian inn. Derenko supported this new building as a full-service partner, responsible for the architectural conception as well as the interior design, branding, and digital presence.

The interior design follows a reduced and natural approach, moving far away from rustic clichés. Warm wood tones, particularly a surface resembling red pine, give the rooms a timeless depth and vibrancy. This material concept is complemented by earthy green and olive tones that bring the surrounding Bavarian landscape directly into the hotel. Furthermore, textile wall coverings and high-quality upholstered elements ensure excellent tactile and acoustic quality within the rooms.

The clear and functional spatial structure is supported by custom-made furniture and a warm, indirect lighting concept. This nature-inspired design continues consistently through the bathrooms and the entire brand identity. In close collaboration with the Karweina family business, Derenko created a harmonious unity of architecture and brand that combines innovative thinking with deeply rooted rural tradition.
