Wilma Rooftop is a new destination overlooking Vienna, seamlessly combining hotel design, hospitality design, and gastronomy. The top floor was transformed into an open hotel lobby featuring a breakfast area, hotel bar, and rooftop space—a welcoming environment where guests are greeted from the very first moment. Here, they collect their room key, enjoy breakfast, or unwind with a drink at the end of the day. The design concept draws inspiration from the lush, secluded courtyard below and extends this green atmosphere all the way to the rooftop, creating a continuous spatial narrative that harmoniously connects indoor and outdoor areas.
Natural colour palettes, artistic illustrations, and carefully selected materials lend the interior a relaxed sense of sophistication. Stone, genuine leather, warm timber, and refined bronze accents create a timeless atmosphere with a strong focus on materiality and craftsmanship. An open show kitchen, a walk-in wine room, the generous bar, and a large communal table give the lobby a distinctly gastronomic character, elevating it far beyond the role of a traditional hotel reception. Expansive glazing, abundant planting, and intentionally dark ceilings and wall finishes create a bright, welcoming atmosphere during the day while transforming the space into an elegant rooftop bar in the evening. The result is a hotel and hospitality concept that redefines hotel lobby design, interior architecture, and modern hospitality—bringing together arrival, relaxation, and exceptional guest experiences in one cohesive destination.
