With Hotel & Café Karol in Vienna’s second district, a renovation was realized that unites precise detailing, thoughtful interior design, and a clear design language. Our focus lay on the technical execution and detailed planning – from material definition to the exact coordination of every element.

Inspired by the metaphor of the “Garden of Eden,” an urban retreat was created: a warm, inviting color palette with botanical motifs, organic shapes, and soft lines. Terracotta and olive tones define a calm, grounded atmosphere that flows consistently from the café through to the guest rooms.

A central design feature is the custom-developed statement wallpaper behind the beds. Its graphic, illustratively botanical design adds depth, atmosphere, and a strong sense of identity to the spaces.

The result is a cohesive hotel & café where concept and precise execution shape a calm, timeless identity – nature-inspired and urban.
