With “Edmund,” the Huth family brings Viennese hospitality back to the Vienna Naschmarkt in its most direct form. Positioned as a standing bar on the bridge to Schleifmühlgasse, the new gastronomy concept presents itself as an uncomplicated bar at the Naschmarkt in Vienna – reduced to what matters here: affordable beer, a small selection of snacks, and the lively atmosphere of the market.
A freshly tapped Ottakringer, paired with “Toni’s Jausn’” for a light bite – everything else can be picked up directly from the market stalls and enjoyed on site. The concept deliberately focuses on openness and accessibility, turning the market itself into an extension of the offering.
Our design translates this clarity into a precise gastronomy design. The exterior creates a clear address within the dense market structure without pushing itself into the foreground. The carpentry is robust, functional, and clean in detail – reduced to the essentials, yet with a strong focus on durability and quality.
With 40 seats in the outdoor Schanigarten and 24 indoors, a place emerges that simply works: an urban meeting point that makes the Vienna Naschmarkt authentically tangible – lively, uncomplicated, and interpreted in a contemporary way.
