In the heart of Vienna's historic Augarten, Derenko collaborated with the client to develop and design the gastronomic concept Das Sperling. The central task was to merge the historical setting of the park with a modern and vibrant interior architecture.

Both the interior design and the branding are consistently oriented towards the story of the eponymous family of sparrows, which has been native to the area since Joseph II opened the park in 1775. Following the charming Viennese motto "Happiness is a little bird," the interior specialists at Derenko created an atmosphere that radiates both lightness and comfort.

The restaurant accommodates one hundred guests and stands out through a bold and colorful choice of materials that brings the natural flair of the garden into the interior. From the striking furnishings to the visual identity of the brand, Derenko delivered a comprehensive package consisting of conception, storytelling, and planning. The result is a stylish retreat in one of Vienna's most popular gardens, perfectly harmonizing tradition with contemporary design.
