At the café of the Kunsthistorisches Museum Vienna, historic grandeur meets contemporary hospitality design. Derenko created an interior concept that respectfully embraces the museum’s impressive architecture while adding clear, modern design elements. Black counters, refined graphic lines and red seating accents create a striking contrast among marble, columns, ornaments and artistic floor patterns.

The design combines Viennese coffeehouse culture, museum gastronomy and high-quality interior design into a distinctive spatial experience. Generous seating areas, elegant bistro tables and a functional café bar blend harmoniously into the heritage setting. The result is a café that invites visitors to linger between exhibitions — and almost becomes an exhibit itself.
