“Where everyone can find their spot,” is the maxim of this location at Vienna’s Kagraner Platz. This refers in part to guests, who can discover their favorite spot in one of the many rooms over two floors, and in part also to the importance of the guesthouse family, who play a pivotal role in the overall concept.

The stories, experiences and habits of these family members are narrated in the individual rooms as well as throughout the entire house with the help of furniture, paintings and decorative elements. Each room presents a completely different look. When moving from one room to the next, visitors have the sensation of entering an entirely new world each time.

For example, you might find yourself in Grandpa’s hunting parlour, where deer antlers hang on the wall, rustic benches invite you to stay and relax a while, and traditional wood paneling on the wall and rag rugs evoke memories of an actual grandfather’s hunting lounge. The studio room is dedicated to the mother, who is a passionate collector by nature and has a keen interest in art. This can be seen in the richly colored room replete with easels and paintings as decoration. This stands in contrast to the imperial palace room, which is resplendently cloaked in a classic red and glamorously surrounded by splendid chandeliers.
The so-called “living room” in the lower area of the guesthouse radiates the authentic family room flair of days gone by. A genuine old tiled stove with a rustic wooden bench in front of it, lace doilies and mounted wooden blocks on the ceiling exude coziness and the feeling of a familiar environment. In some rooms, you feel transported back to the “good old days”. Where the strudel dough is being kneaded in Grandma’s kitchen and the multi-generation family comes together for their daily chat. The guesthouse and the family all under one roof. True to its time, yet with a modern twist.

Consciously seeking out the beauty in the old, and embellishing it with new accents. This motto represented a major assignment in the interior design and, as of immediately, awaits to be discovered with curiosity in the various themed rooms.
