Located in the heart of Vienna, Makka is a shining example of contemporary Asian restaurant design, thoughtfully conceptualized and realized by Derenko. Inspired by the vibrant metropolises of Asia, the interior merges tradition with modernity in a warm, urban setting.

At the architectural core are historic vaulted ceilings finished in lime plaster, offering a grounded sense of permanence. This heritage is paired with bold contrasts: dark walnut wood meets terrazzo flooring, soft lighting enhances cozy velvet seating in burnt orange and olive green—echoing the spice markets and color palettes of Asia.

The design follows the "Slow Space" philosophy, creating decelerated zones that invite guests to pause and connect. Elegant room dividers double as shelving, gently zoning the space into intimate seating areas while maintaining openness and flow.

Dining at Makka is about conscious enjoyment. The minimalist and authentic design complements the refined Asian fusion cuisine. The atmosphere appeals to a design-savvy, cosmopolitan audience—perfect for business lunches, casual dinners or evenings with friends.

Blending historical substance with modern clarity, the space leaves a lasting impression. It lives, breathes and evolves with every guest who enters.
