With Zentruhm in Vienna’s 1st district, restaurateurs Sascha and Marcel Ruhm are taking their hospitality vision to the next level – realized in collaboration with Derenko’s interior experts. As the creative sequel to DiningRuhm, the concept continues to celebrate fusion cuisine while pushing design boundaries.

The mantra “Tapas with a twist” doesn’t just describe the food – it comes to life in every corner of the space: A striking magenta silicone mermaid tail emerges from a disco ball, acting as an eccentric wall feature. Neon green walls, brushed brass shelving, and ostrich-head lamp holders contrast with cream-colored benches inherited from the former location.

Derenko seamlessly fused traditional architecture with bold, contemporary elements: raw textures, saturated hues, and curated pop references create a layered spatial experience that’s anything but expected.

From the deep red foyer to the sculptural lighting and artfully dried florals, Zentruhm is a space where surprise meets sophistication – a design that mirrors the bold flavor combinations on the plate. It’s a restaurant that feels immersive, playful, and perfectly tailored for Vienna’s design-savvy food scene.
